Trenton

During the winter battle of Trenton in 1776, General George Washington and his two thousand four hundred troops fought against Colonel Rahl and his one thousand four hundred feared, Germanic troops. After being driven out of New York by the British, Washington planned a bold move. This bold move consisted of waiting until the winter season approached and then by the crossing the Delaware River during the night on the 25/26 of 1776 in December. They caught the Hessians off guard pedaling them with bullets of metal and heat. While the battle was occuring, one of Washington's men struck Colonel Rahl. This was the turning point of the Battle. After this Rahl surrendered himself and all of his troops followed his lead.
